Our ice cream trailer can be found at events throughout the Summer.
Ice cream vs Gelato
Here at The Udder Stuff, we're proud of the delicious milk our lovely cows produce. Therefore, we have decided to make a gelato rather than ice cream, as it uses much more milk in the recipes.
Typically, the fat content of gelato is 8-11% while the fat content of ice cream is closer to 15-25%. The final result of the higher fat content in ice cream, makes it both heavier and sweeter whereas our gelato is lighter and the flavour comes through first.

Our gelato is churned in small batches and is churned more slowly than ice cream. This incorporates less air and gives the gelato a denser, softer texture.

Gelato is served at a warmer temperature of about -12ºC, rather than ice cream at -18ºC. This difference allows more flavour to come through because your taste buds are less sensitive at lower temperatures.
